Marcus Manzardo

Community Colleges of Spokane baseball

Manzardo, a rookie from Lake City High, was named the second team in the All-East Region as an infielder, the conference announced. Manzardo was also named the recipient of the Golden Glove. Manzardo appeared in 31 games for Sasquatch, averaging .311 (34 for 135) with three doubles, 11 RBI and 22 runs. Spokane (31-12) faces Edmonds at the NWAC Championship today at Lower Columbia College in Longview, Wash.

Jack McDonald

Lassan baseball

McDonald, the new left-handed pitcher from Timberlake High, has a 3.13 run average in 20 appearances for Lassan, the California Community College Baseball Association team in Susanville, California. McDonald struck out 26 in 31 rounds, finishing with one save.

Jackson Scherr

Wenatchee Valley baseball

Scherr, a sophomore right-hand pitcher from Lake City High, appeared in 18 games for the Knights (16-35), going 1-2 on the season. Scherr had 26 strikes in 32 innings.

Kiley Cutler

Spokane track and field

Cutler, a freshman from Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy, finished second in the 400 -meter hurdles at the NWAC Championships at Mt. Cutler was also number six in 100 odds in 16.66 seconds.

Jacob Schnatter

Spokane track and field

Schnatter, a freshman from Lake City High, was sixth in the three -man jump at 12.85 yards.

Chase Gardom

Idaho State track and field

Gardom, a junior from Timberlake High, finished second in the decathlon at the Big Sky Championships on May 12 with a total of 7,102 points, 26 points behind champion Caleb Whitney of Weber State. Gardom is now 10th in the all -time leaderboard by effort. On the discus, Gardom threw his personal best 40.95 yards, finishing second. In the pole vault, he jumped 4.02 and has a personal record of 50.65 on the javelin. Gardom won 1,500 in 4: 43.41.

Leonard, a junior from Coeur d’Alene High, finished 24th in the men’s hammer throw in the West Preliminary Round of the NCAA Championships in Fayetteville, Ark., With a throw of 204 feet, 9 inches.
