Monster renews as manufacturer Yamaha MotoGP title sponsor | MotoGP

The new deal comes after the announcement that defending champion Fabio Quartararo will remain on the team for 2023 and 2024.

Monster Energy is sponsoring Yamaha’s MotoGP title in 2019, adding to its existing relationship in Motocross and Supercross.

“Monster Energy and Yamaha have had a long history of racing together at the very peak of motorcycle racing and during that time we have forged successful partnerships both on and off the racetrack,” said Rodney Sacks, Chairman and CEO of Monster Energy.

“Seeing Fabio win last year’s MotoGP World Championship at the Monster Energy Yamaha YZR-M1 board was one of the highlights we enjoyed when we were together, and we look forward to a few more years of racing together with Yamaha in MotoGP.

“We are delighted to announce this extension in the title sponsorship round in Barcelona and wish Franco, Fabio, and all the team success over the weekend and for the rest of the season.”

Monster Yamahas of Quartararo, who currently leads the 2022 standings, and teammate Franco Morbidelli will be the only M1s in the box next year, with the RNF moving to Aprilia.

The Monster deal is about worth it 4-6 million euros per season for Yamaha. The budget of the MotoGP team is around 50-60 million.
