BJET Sports Consult Limited, a leading multifaceted sports consultant operating in Ghana on Tuesday, launched the inaugural edition of Soccer Talent Hunt to help find talent across the country.

Football Talent Hunters, is a Football Academy Television Reality Show designed to help the country’s best football players in rural and urban areas between the ages of 14 to 23 to train to become professionals.

Speaking at the launch of the event, Mr Neil-Armstrong Mortagbe, former Managing Director of Accra Hearts of Oak praised BJET Sports Consult Limited, said it was a great initiative to help to develop football in Ghana.

According to him, “In Africa there is a lot of talent that is better than foreign players. But because it has not been discovered and what is discovered is not managed properly to reach the highest talent”.

“My prayer is that the event we are launching today will find talent that can be nurtured from an early age to also compete at the world level and not just at the African level,” he said.
Mr Andy Sam, former CEO of Ashanti Gold and special guest of honor for the event added that “There are people who are looking for opportunities and without initiatives like this, they will not come.”

He further urged all stakeholders to support the program as it will help find more talent and can change the lives of others, which will help Ghana through football.

“The kids who will be monitored are really lucky, they will get money, exposure and it will be a household name even before their career starts and I am very happy and I am happy to be a part of this project sharing my experience.,” He added.

Mr. Augustine Arhinful, a former Black Stars player expressed his delight for the opportunity given to young players to remain relevant in the community.

“It’s an honor, not everyone can use academics to be famous in society. Some have to use their God -given talents to be relevant.

He urges all those hoping to participate in the training to be disciplined and focused in order to achieve their goals as professional footballers.

According to the committee, the first to third place winners of the Soccer Talent Hunt will receive cash prizes and trials abroad with all costs paid, while players number four to eight will also receive cash prizes with trial fees also paid.
